Juan José García Méndez is a Mechanical Engineer with additional Master’s degrees in Business Management, Renewable Energy, and Finance. He also holds postgraduate qualifications in Statistical Research and Project Management and has received specific trainings in Energy Policy and Electricity Sector Regulation. With over 15 years of energy sector experience, Juan has worked in hydrocarbons energy policy, biofuels, geothermal regional capacity building, renewable energy regulation, and long-term energy planning. Currently, Juan is serving as a Program Officer for Clean Energy Transition Scenarios at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) where he leads the coordination of the Long-Term Energy Scenarios Network.
